Bio

Main rig is just my HP Laptop runnin Virtual DJ Pro with the Hercules RMX Controller and a 1.6tb drive. Mobile system rig is a simple Numark mixer with Denon CD Decks although those are strictly for backup in case the pc crashes. Might move over to Serato later on but don't see a need for it right now as beat mixer...I started on the worst of the equipment you can think of and was still beat mixing (pre MKs). Hell, I even used to use a tape deck/jam box to mix - I drilled a hole in the back of the box and put a shaft down to the drive motor so I could control the speed of the tape to mix with....When you learn like that - the equipment made now is gravy to use...
Most of the area I live in is hip hop so that's what's mostly played on my rig. I bring the good stuff with me tho just in case. Trying hard to change the crowds but they won't budge so I'm looking to branch out to areas that accept the breaks.
In a nutshell - started DJ'ing when I was 15 in High School doing dances, moved onto radio and wedding receptions then started in clubs and bars ;when I was 17. ; I'm a beat mixer - can basically mix any style although my favorite is Florida breaks. ; In bars i'm a crowd reader and do my best to keep the crowd satisfied and the registers ringing up - dance clubs - keep the floor packed and the grooves goin....All in all - over 25 years of experience....Recently transplanted to the Midwest from the deep south - tryin to kick the breaks up here. ; Originally from a little town call Morgan City about 80 miles SW of New Orleans. ; Did way too many clubs along the southern coast - some I can remember - most I can't (ahh the good ole days). ;
I'm a big fan of Icey as he pretty much is the originator of the style. Baby Anne, Rick West, Huda Hudia, Tony Faline - pretty much all of them. Much respect to the guys and gals who create the tunes. Plannin on laying some of them down soon myself..when time allows...
